Job summary

Little London Academy in Leeds is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our committed team, supporting pupils to access learning and participate in class activities under teacher guidance.

This fixed-term role runs until 31 December 2026, with a focus on promoting wellbeing, behaviour management, preparing learning environments and helping children reach their potential in a safe, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic ICT skills and confidence using everyday technology.
• Experience of working with, or caring for, children of a relevant age.
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting pupils’ individual needs.

Little London Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our committed and supportive team. This is a rewarding role that plays a vital part in ensuring all pupils are supported to access learning, achieve their potential and thrive within a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work under the direction of teaching staff to provide classroom support, promote pupil engagement and independence, and contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of our pupils. The role will also involve supporting the preparation of learning environments, assisting with pupil welfare and behaviour management, and helping to create positive learning experiences for all children.
