Job summary

Kew Green Hotels’ Leisure Club in Portsmouth is seeking an enthusiastic Leisure Assistant to support day-to-day operations, ensuring the club is clean, safe and engaging for members and guests. You’ll deliver a high-quality leisure experience, run inductions and fitness programmes, maintain safety standards, and help grow membership through friendly service and local initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within leisure, fitness or hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with members and guests.
• Proactive, positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail around safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a positive and engaging Health & Leisure Club experience for members and guests.
• Conduct member inductions and fitness programmes to promote safe and effective use of facilities.
• Ensure all areas of the club are clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
• Complete daily and weekly safety checks in line with company standards.
• Monitor use of facilities to ensure safe operation and adherence to club rules.
• Support membership growth through engagement, retention and local initiatives.
• Carry out stock control and support retail or secondary revenue opportunities.
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures, including pool safety and emergency protocols.

Job description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Leisure Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Leisure Club. You’ll be at the heart of the member experience, ensuring the club is clean, safe and engaging while delivering service that keeps members coming back.

Reporting to the Leisure Club Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting both operational excellence and a positive, inclusive environment.

About the Role

You’ll support the delivery of a high-quality leisure experience, ensuring safety, service and standards are always maintained.

• Supporting the delivery of a positive and engaging Health & Leisure Club experience for members and guests.
