Job summary

The Warren in LL53 7AA is seeking a Leisure Assistant – Lifeguard for Haulfryn’s seasonal operation starting in October. The role offers a fixed-term contract with variable hours and pays £13.10 per hour, ensuring pools and leisure facilities are safe, clean and welcoming for guests.

You’ll lifeguard indoor and outdoor pools, lead activity sessions, and assist guests with enquiries. NPLQ is desirable, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• A Valid NPLQ Certificate (desirable) with the opportunity of an in-house lifeguard course being provided for the right candidates.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests of all ages.
• A positive, professional attitude with great teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all health and safety standards are followed and upheld at all times.
• Deliver engaging activity sessions, ensuring guests have a fun and safe experience.
• Set up and pack away leisure equipment efficiently between activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the leisure facilities, including pool areas.
• Support guests with general enquiries and ensure they have a positive experience at our facilities.
• Lifeguard our indoor and/or outdoor swimming pools, ensuring safety and responding to emergencies as required.
