Job summary

Haulfryn seeks a qualified Swimming Instructor for Devon Hills Holiday Park to teach swimmers of all ages and boost water confidence. You will deliver one-to-one or group sessions, tailor instruction, and ensure a safe, engaging environment.

You're expected to meet Level 1 qualification (essential) with Level 2 preferred, demonstrate strong communication, and support both children and parents. DBS checks apply, and UK residency is required.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Swim Qualification is essential.
• Level 2 Swim Qualification is desirable.
• Experience working with young children and parents is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teaching passion are required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach swimmers of all ages, building water confidence.
• Deliver one-to-one or group lessons tailored to learners.
• Motivate children to reach milestones and enjoy lessons.
• Maintain a high-quality teaching environment in line with standards.
• Keep swim equipment clean and poolside areas safe.
• Liaise with parents to report progress and achievements.

What You’ll Do,

As a Swimming Instructor, you will:

• Teach and coach swimmers of all ages, helping them develop water confidence and progress through their stages
• Deliver one-to-one lessons or group sessions, tailoring instruction to individual needs
• Motivate and engage children, ensuring they enjoy their lessons and reach key milestones
• Work in line with ASA (or equivalent) standards, ensuring a high-quality teaching environment
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of swim equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming poolside environment
• Liaise with parents, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and achievements

• Level 1 Swim Qualification (Essential)
• Level 2 Swim Qualification (Desirable)
• Experience working with young children, with confidence in engaging both children and parents
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching
• A proactive, friendly, and patient approach, ensuring swimmers feel motivated and encouraged
