Job summary

South Staffordshire Council is seeking enthusiastic and self-disciplined individuals to undertake lifeguard duties, assemble sports equipment, general cleaning duties and assist customers at Wombourne Leisure Centre. Successful candidates will ensure pool supervision standards, centre cleanliness, housekeeping and hygiene, and should hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

An enhanced DBS check will be carried out and is a condition of appointment.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in leisure and/or customer service environments.
• Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is required.
• Background checks via DBS will be carried out.

Responsibilities

• Undertake lifeguard duties and ensure pool supervision.
• Assemble sports equipment as required.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain hygiene standards.
• Deal with customer enquiries and provide good service.

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-disciplined individuals, required to undertake a variety of tasks, including lifeguard duties, assembling sports equipment, general cleaning duties and dealing with customer enquiries at Wombourne Leisure Centre.

Successful candidates will ensure the highest standards of Pool Supervision and centre cleanliness, housekeeping, and hygiene. Candidates should have previous work experience in a leisure and/or customer service environment, be customer focused, highly motivated, have good communication skills and hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

This post has been identified as one requiring checks for possible criminal background. An enhanced disclosure check will be made through the Disclosure and Barring Service and this, or any other, offer of appointment is subject to a satisfactory clearance.

DAY SHIFTS HOURS PATTERN

SUNDAY 07.15-13.15 6.00 Every Sunday

Pool Competency Test will take place on Thursday 22nd October.
