Job description

We are looking to recruit for a Water Assistant, to join our Swim Academy Team based at Wombourne Leisure Centre as part of South Staffordshire Swim Academy.

Hours of work will be on an as and when required basis including late afternoon/ evenings and weekends.

You should have a passion for swimming as you will be required to assist and deliver safe, fun and effective lessons to children from 3yrs to adults (where appropriately qualified) following the STA International Learn to Swim programme, under the supervision of a qualified Swim Teacher. You must have good communications skills with an ability to work with children from 3yrs through to adult learners.

Requirements:

No formal experience or qualifications required

You must be a competent swimmer and be willing to hold STA Level 2 Safety Award for Teachers or NRASTC (RLSS). In house training will be given for this if you do not currently hold either of these qualifications.

Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) is acceptable for this post.
