Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a customer-focused Leisure Assistant at Hadley Learning Community in Telford to ensure user safety and oversee pool facilities.

You will work part-time on a permanent contract, performing cleaning, lifeguarding, setting up sports equipment and basic first aid, with additional duties from your line manager. A valid NPLQ is ideal and monthly lifeguard training is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a team and individually to perform a variety of tasks.
• NPLQ is preferred; enthusiasm for monthly lifeguard training is expected.

Job Title: Leisure Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hadley Learning Community, Waterloo Road, Hadley, Telford, Shropshire, England, TF1 5NU

We are looking for a customer focused Leisure Assistant to take responsibility for ensuring the safety of all users of the Leisure Centre, with particular attention being made to those utilising the pool facilities.

You will be required to work as part of a team and individually to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, lifeguarding, setting up sports equipment, administering first aid. You will also be expected to complete additional duties assigned to you by your line manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and will be enthusiastic in attending lifeguard training on a monthly basis.
