Taylor Hobson, part of AMETEK, Inc., is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical design from concept to production within a world-class R&D team. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in senior/principal role delivering full development lifecycle.
• Experience leading small design teams (3–5 engineers).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, materials, processes and quality systems.
• Proficiency in CAD and PDM tools; familiarity with drives and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robust concept and detailed design solutions.
• Investigate, analyse and resolve complex mechanical design issues.
• Lead and participate in design reviews and provide mentoring to engineers/contractors.
• Deliver projects to schedule and cost targets while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and drive product direction and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
