Job summary

Taylor Hobson, an AMETEK, Inc. business unit, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to R&D on ultra-high-precision instruments. You will define mechanical specifications, lead design reviews, and oversee manufacturing-ready documentation for end-to-end product lifecycles.

The role requires strong design experience, knowledge of small mechanisms, drives and controls, and a hands-on approach to validation and life testing within a globally recognized metrology leader.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in product design and development.
• Experience designing small mechanisms.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing engineering, materials, methods, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Derive mechanical performance specifications from system requirements.
• Design, validate, and manufacture assemblies using in-house and external supply chains.
• Create documentation to introduce products into manufacturing and service.
• Modify instrument fixtures/accessories for customer applications.
