Job summary

Taylor Hobson is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Research and Development team, working on ultra high-precision instruments designed for nanometer accuracy. The role offers exposure to new technologies and end-to-end product lifecycle responsibilities in a global metrology company.

You will derive mechanical specifications, lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Business Development and Operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years design experience.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing engineering, materials and processes.
• Experience in precision engineering or optics documentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Derive mechanical performance specifications from system requirements.
• Design, validate and manufacture assemblies using internal/external channels.
• Prepare documentation to introduce products into manufacturing and service.
• Lead mechanical project design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
