Job summary

SOCOTEC UK is seeking a Legionella Risk Assessor to cover the Sheffield and Derby areas. You will join our Water Hygiene team to undertake risk assessments, audits and routine water hygiene tasks while travelling as required.

Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS8580 is preferred, along with strong report writing and client communication skills. Travel and DBS/MOD clearance are part of the role; we offer a competitive benefits package and pension.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS8580.
• Understanding of complex water systems including water softeners and industrial processes.
• Understanding of written scheme of control audits.
• Strong ability to communicate with clients.
• Competent report writing skills.
• Computer software usage (Word and Excel).
• Ability to pass Enhanced DBS and MOD security clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments of water systems.
• Audit management and planned preventative monitoring regimes.
• Perform water hygiene tasks such as outlet flushing and temperature checks.
