Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd is looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join their Water Hygiene Team in Uckfield. This role involves conducting risk assessments, audits, and quality checks within water systems, requiring effective client communication and strong report writing skills.

The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS:8580, alongside proficiency in computer software. Successful candidates must be able to pass Enhanced DBS and MOD security clearance checks.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS:8580.
• Understanding of complex water systems including water softeners and vehicle washes.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments of water systems.
• Audit management and planned preventative monitoring regimes.
• Perform outlet flushing, temperature checks, and sampling.

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments of water systems
• Audit management and planned preventative monitoring regimes
• Perform general water hygiene tasks such as outlet flushing, temperature checks, and sampling

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS:8580
• Understanding of complex water systems, including water softeners, vehicle washes, and industrial processes
• Knowledge of written scheme of control audits
• Strong client communication skills
• Competent report writing skills
• Computer software proficiency (Word & Excel)
