Grade: C – Permanent – 37 hours per week
Legal Services is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the position of Legal Support Assistant. The role involves providing vital and wide-ranging support services to legal professionals within the Council’s Legal Department, emphasizing quality, accuracy, and effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include undertaking legal casework as directed by senior colleagues, following professional practice standards and procedures, and adhering to Legal Services Quality Service Plans.
The successful candidate will work within one of the following teams: Regulatory, Litigation and Adult Social Care, or Commercial and Corporate. The role primarily involves drafting standard documents and notices, composing simple letters, completing various Court documents, communicating effectively with outside solicitors and internal departments, and utilizing a case management system. Assistance with other Court processes may also be required.
Excellent communication skills, a high level of accuracy, the ability to work within strict deadlines, and effectiveness under pressure are essential qualities for this role.
