Legal Director, Regulatory Affairs & Compliance - 10+ PQE - London

Marsden is partnering with a leader in the fintech sector to hire a Director of Regulatory Affairs & Compliance. This newly created role supports the business and offers an opportunity to take on a strategic position within a fast-paced, founder-led company that has already achieved 'Unicorn' status and is entering its next growth phase.

A competitive salary package is offered, including long-term incentives. The role is based in Central London with hybrid working arrangements.

Reporting to the Chief Legal & Risk Officer, you will focus on all regulatory and compliance matters, including:

• Advising senior leaders on FCA, consumer duty, and other relevant financial services regulatory and legal frameworks
• Supporting the business with legal and compliance risk advice
• Drafting and negotiating regulatory documentation
• Developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework aligned with operational processes
• Liaising extensively with the FCA and other regulators
• Advising on regulatory issues related to product launches and key initiatives
• Instructing external counsel when necessary

To be considered, candidates should be qualified lawyers with 10+ years PQE. Ideal candidates will have trained in the FS Regulatory practice at a top-tier firm, with subsequent in-house or private practice experience in a similar role. A strong technical regulatory knowledge and experience working in an FCA-regulated environment are essential. The ability to work effectively with C-suite stakeholders in a high-growth environment is crucial.
