What is the opportunity?

As a member of RBC Global Regulatory Relations Strategic Leadership Team (“SLT”), the role provides input, review and challenges the RBC’s global regulatory engagement strategy;

As a key member of a global team, apply a cohesive and consistent approach to managing regulatory engagements and reporting of regulatory matters across the respective region(s), including program governance, policies, procedures, and best practices.


What will you do?

  • Lead a team responsible for maintaining and facilitating effective relationships and managing regulatory requests with RBC’s lead financial regulators in the UK & Europe;
  • Provide regional Boards and Management with advisory and reporting on regulatory developments, trends, issues, and risks;
  • Ensure timely and insightful regulatory engagement information is communicated to stakeholders;
  • Lead stakeholder meetings and ensure active engagement, providing relevant regulatory guidance;
  • Support leadership development and succession planning within the team;
  • Identify and escalate risk issues as appropriate;
  • Work closely with colleagues to safeguard confidential regulatory information.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong organizational skills across initiatives;
  • Familiarity with UK & European financial regulators’ expectations and processes, including UK FCA’s SMR;
  • Experience in creating corporate presentations and full project lifecycle;
  • Degree level education.


Nice-to-have

  • Previous experience in business strategy development;
  • Project Management accreditation.
