Job Description:

Marsden is partnering with a leader in the fintech sector to hire a Director of Regulatory Affairs & Compliance. This strategic role is within a fast-paced, founder-led business that has achieved 'Unicorn' status, supporting its next growth phase.

Reporting to the Chief Legal & Risk Officer, key responsibilities include:

• Advising senior leaders on FCA, consumer duty, and other financial services regulations
• Supporting legal and compliance risk management
• Drafting and negotiating regulatory documentation
• Developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework aligned with operational processes
• Engaging with the FCA and other regulators
• Providing regulatory guidance on product launches and initiatives
• Instructing external counsel when necessary

Qualifications include being a qualified lawyer with 10+ years PQE, trained in FS Regulatory practice at a top-tier firm, with experience in-house or in private practice. Deep technical knowledge of financial regulation, experience in an FCA-regulated environment, and ability to collaborate with C-suite stakeholders are essential.
