Job overview:

The Restaurant Brands International (RBI) Legal Department is recruiting for Legal Director, EMEA. This is a role in the Zug office for a corporate lawyer with at least six years of transactional legal experience. The lawyer will work closely with internal stakeholders and leading law firms across the EMEA region.

Your responsibilities:

1. Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize legal agreements, including franchise agreements, development agreements, investment agreements, letter agreements, and other relevant documents, with attention to detail and risk management.
2. Support and advise on franchise disclosure and registration requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
3. Coordinate legal opinions and advice from local counsel in various jurisdictions.
4. Provide training on transactions, corporate, franchising, and other legal matters.
5. Assist business teams with daily legal matters, including drafting letters, interpreting documents, updating templates, and ensuring policy compliance.
6. Perform other legal or business duties as required by business needs.

Your skills and experience:

1. Willing to relocate to Zug, Switzerland.
2. Qualified lawyer admitted in Singapore, US, England & Wales, or a Commonwealth country.
3. Minimum of 6 years of transactional experience at a leading law firm.
4. Knowledge of advertising law, consumer protection, and experience drafting marketing agreements within the EU.
5. Excellent judgment, issue management, and drafting skills.
6. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
7. Strong collaboration skills, with ability to coordinate globally with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Positive attitude, team player, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
9. Highly organized, able to handle high workloads and tight deadlines.
10. Proactive in identifying legal issues, developing strategies, and setting objectives.
