Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

• Advising on a wide range of funds, including venture capital and private closed-ended debt funds.
• Supporting transactions in funds-of-funds, listed funds, and non-regulated investment vehicles.
• Providing guidance on financial regulation and compliance matters.
• Offering general commercial legal advice in an in-house financial services context.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive investment programmes.

The Successful Applicant

The Legal Counsel should be:

• A solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in financial services, funds-related work or from a banking & finance / corporate background with an interest in funds.
• Experienced in advising on private equity, venture capital, and debt fund transactions.
• Proficient in financial regulation and compliance matters.
• Comfortable working in an in-house legal team and collaborating with other departments.
• Coming from a private practice or In-house background

• A competitive salary range of approximately £70,000 to £80,000.
