About Our Client

Our client is a FTSE listed services business and a household name.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and disputes related to construction services provided to clients and suppliers
• Review and analyze key dispute materials, collaborating with Senior Legal Counsel to assess liability and quantum, aiming for early commercial settlements
• Negotiate disputes pre-action to ensure early, cost-effective resolutions
• Build relationships with stakeholders and promote the legal team within the business
• Coordinate with external legal firms for litigation advice and manage costs effectively
• Support the Legal Director on high-profile projects and dispute management reporting

The Successful Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales or an equivalent common law jurisdiction
• Between 4 and 9 years PQE, but candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply
• Specialist in contentious construction disputes with experience in High Court and TCC proceedings
• Proficient in drafting complex dispute-related documents, such as letters of claim and responses
• Experience leading construction disputes from start to finish
• Strong legal, commercial, negotiation skills, with excellent communication and drafting abilities
