A highly respected law firm based in the heart of London is looking for a junior Legal Cashier to join their established accounts team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a firm renowned for its history, quality of work, and outstanding reputation across private client, family, and commercial law.
You’ll work closely with a friendly and experienced finance team, reporting directly to the Head Cashier. The team is tight-knit, supportive, and genuinely values collaboration – they’re looking for someone who brings a positive, “pitch-in” attitude and wants to learn and grow.
About the Role:
You’ll be involved in a wide range of day-to-day legal accounts work, including:
• Allocating client and office receipts
• Processing daily banking and client-to-office transfers
• Posting disbursements and online portal invoices
• Paying Counsel fees and handling client residual balances
• Supporting payment runs and handling purchase ledger entries
• General finance admin and inbox monitoring
• Supporting CHAPS and faster payments, bank reconciliations, and staff expenses (training provided)
You’ll also gain experience using the firm’s legal finance system (SOS), with full training available if needed.
About You:
• You’ll have some Legal Cashier experience already – ideally up to two years
• A solid educational background (GCSE Maths and English minimum)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, helpful approach and a keen eye for detail
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
