Legal Cashier – Solihull

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Full-Time (or may consider 4 days a week part time) | Office-Based Role

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a new opportunity to grow your career? Our client, a highly regarded regional law firm based in Solihull, is seeking a proactive and skilled Legal Cashier to join their Finance team.

This full-time, office-based role offers a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle, as occasional travel to other offices may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the operation of the firm’s accounting system.
  • Ensuring all banking is completed daily.
  • Producing reconciliations.
  • Posting entries to the accounts and case management systems.
  • Raising private client invoices and producing client-to-office transfer paperwork.
  • Handling Legal Aid invoices and processing monthly billing submissions.
  • Managing purchase invoices efficiently.
  • Handling client payments, including processing card payments.
  • Assisting in file archiving.
  • Supporting the credit control system.
  • Liaising with the IT department to resolve staff queries and set up accounts.
  • Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical accounting experience, preferably within the legal sector.
  • Experience with purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Basic Excel knowledge and strong computer skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage their workload effectively with minimal supervision.
