Job description

Social Network Login/Join:

Our busy Finance Department is responsible for the accounting and finance functions across the firm. This includes ensuring that all day-to-day recording of financial transactions is accurate, prompt, and compliant with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

As an important member of the Cash Office Team, you will provide support across the firm to protect our clients' monies and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

The role is varied and includes, but is not limited to:

1. Daily banking functions;
2. Handling all aspects of purchase ledger, posting invoices, processing payments, and reconciling statements;
3. Processing client account transactions, including postings onto the finance and banking system;
4. Preparing office payments on the finance and banking system;
5. Assisting with the weekly Legal Aid statement;
6. Assisting with Deputyship payments and receipts.

About the candidate

The successful candidate will have:

1. Ideally a minimum of 3 years of Legal Cashier experience with a strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules;
2. High attention to detail and accuracy;
3. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work;
4. Good communication skills;
5. Strong numeracy skills, with a GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent, grade C/4 or above.
