Legal Assistant - Conveyancing

Location: Northampton

Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000

Overview

Are you experienced in conveyancing but looking to advance your career? Would you like to join a well-established law firm that values talent and supports your growth? If so, this role could be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing excellent client care and service, answering calls, managing inquiries, providing sales updates, and taking messages.
  • Managing the end-to-end conveyancing process, including opening files, procuring searches, processing exchange of contracts, and overseeing completion procedures.
  • Calculating and checking stamp duty returns.
  • Handling document engrossment and supporting conveyancers with administrative duties, including audio typing and data entry onto case management and finance systems.
Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of conveyancing procedures.
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience, ideally within an office setting.
  • Strong team player with good communication and client care skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
