Carpenters Group is seeking a Complex Recoveries Legal Advisor to manage a full caseload of high-value litigated RTA recovery cases and deliver high-quality claims handling within agreed timescales.

You will provide professional legal advice, negotiate settlements, and communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders, while supporting the team to meet recovery targets in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a full caseload of litigated RTA recovery or ULR claims.
• Knowledge of liability issues, including the Road Traffic Act and Article 75.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Background in customer or stakeholder-focused environments - with a strong focus on delivering quality service to clients and the wider firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of high-value litigated recovery files using the firm's case management system.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates on the case management system.
• Progress cases efficiently using appropriate communication methods.
• Provide professional, timely legal advice to clients with regular communication and expectation management.
• Take a commercial and practical approach to settlement negotiations and risk advice.
• Support team performance against recovery and lifecycle targets without compromising integrity.
• Liaise with sources, experts, third‑party insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Perform effectively in a target-driven environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of high-value litigated recovery files using the firm's case management system
• Ensure accurate and timely updates on the case management system
• Progress cases efficiently using appropriate communication methods

Experience & Knowledge

• Competence using case management systems and MS Office
