Job summary

Armstrong Watson LLP in Leeds is recruiting a Paraplanner to join the Financial Planning Service Line. The role focuses on providing technical and advisory support to the team, including preparing suitability letters and processing new business.

You will support consultants and assistants while maintaining your own technical knowledge. The candidate should have a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, plus significant paraplanning experience and familiarity with industry standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Diploma required as minimum qualification for Paraplanner role.
• Significant paraplanning experience; 5 years’ experience desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks (COBS, CONOD, SYSC) is desirable.
• Strong communication and client service focus, with the ability to deliver high-quality reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and advisory support to the Financial Planning Team.
• Prepare suitability letters based on advice given.
• Process new business and support development of colleagues’ technical knowledge.
• Maintain and develop personal technical knowledge.
