Job summary

Armstrong Watson LLP in Glasgow is seeking a Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning team. The role provides technical and advisory support to Consultants and the Leadership & Compliance teams, delivering robust, compliant client recommendations.

You will conduct research, compile suitability letters, process new business, and help colleagues develop their technical knowledge while keeping your own knowledge current. A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is required.

Qualifications

• A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is required.
• Significant paraplanning experience (5+ years) desirable.
• Knowledge of Conduct of Business (COBS) and Conduct of Code of Conduct (COCON).
• Understanding of FCA Money Laundering SYSC.
• Good IT skills and report writing quality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to prepare advice for clients.
• Compile suitability letters based on the advice given.
• Process new business.
• Provide feedback to financial planning consultants on fact-finding and outcomes.
• Support development of colleagues' technical knowledge and stay current with knowledge.
