Job summary

Armstrong Watson LLP in Leeds is recruiting a Financial Planning Consultant to join our Financial Planning Team. You will work with a ready-made client bank and pursue growth opportunities, delivering robust financial plans and ongoing advice.

We value candidates with a Level 4 Diploma and preferably a Level 6 Diploma in Financial Planning, strong client relationships, and a proactive approach to business development. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is required.
• Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable.
• Knowledge of Conduct of Business (COBS) and the Code of Conduct (COCON).
• Minimum 2 years’ advisory experience.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to understand objectives and provide robust financial planning solutions.
• Ensure high-quality ongoing advice to all clients.
• Undertake internal and external business development to identify new prospects for the Financial Planning Team and convert them to clients.
• Maintain and build technical knowledge relevant to the role.
• Meet individual revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain a strong professional network and attend events.
