Job summary

AECOM is seeking enthusiastic Civil & Structural Engineering Apprentices to join the Bridges team in Leeds. You’ll gain hands-on experience from concept design to implementation on local, national, and international projects.

You’ll work on CAD drawings, structural design tasks, and project administration while pursuing EngTech/IEng status with ICE or IStructE. Hybrid work options and Day 1 onboarding are part of the program.

Qualifications

• Ideal for school leavers with 5 GCSEs including Maths & English.
• Three A-Levels or equivalent (e.g., BTEC Level 3 in Civil Engineering) with Maths and a physical science for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
• Interest in software-based engineering and design (CAD, 3D modelling).
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD drawings as part of the Bridges team.
• Support structural design and desktop publishing tasks.
• Assist with project administration and record-keeping.
• Review and analyse data from projects and site visits.
• Contribute to problem-solving and design solutions.
• Participate in site visits to gather information and observe conditions.
• Work toward EngTech and later IEng status with ICE or IStructE.
