Job summary

Nobody’s Child Leeds is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our Leeds flagship in a full-time role. You’ll lead a front-line team, coach Supervisors and Sales Associates, and collaborate with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional service and commercial results.

You’ll own recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management, ensuring operational excellence, health and safety, and a strong store culture aligned with our sustainability and inclusivity values.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing store teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Strong ability to analyse trade performance, KPIs and stock levels to drive action.
• Experience in a busy department store or boutique retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong commercial results.
• Partner with the Store Manager to implement store strategy, ops excellence and long-term performance.
• Own people processes including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and performance management with Head Office and HR.
• Manage staffing levels and payroll processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Support trading performance by analysing KPIs and taking proactive actions to improve results.
• Oversee stock analysis and collaboration with Merchandising to ensure brand standards and commercial impact.
• Support Visual Merchandising and Marketing to drive footfall and local engagement.
• Ensure Health & Safety, compliance and a safe store environment.
