Job summary

IEG is recruiting a Lecturer to deliver Sport and Public Services courses in Stamford. You will teach across programmes, assess learner work, and support progression, drawing on recent industry experience.

A relevant qualification in Sport or Public Services and a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one is required. The role is 13 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until summer 2027, with a salary of £31,493 per annum and benefits.

• Undertake assessment and internal quality assurance activities.
• Promote the effective use of ILT within teaching and learning.
• Embed English and maths skills into curriculum delivery.
• Maintain accurate learner attendance, progress and assessment records.

What we're looking for:

You will be an enthusiastic Sport and Public Services professional with recent industry experience and a passion for helping learners succeed. You will hold a relevant Sport and/or Public Services qualification and either possess a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge learners from a wide range of backgrounds. You will be confident in delivering engaging lessons, promoting positive learner behaviour and using innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance learning outcomes. Experience within Further Education, course coordination, apprenticeships or quality assurance processes would be advantageous.
