Job summary

Bishop Burton College is seeking an ambitious Curriculum Lead in Sport to lead our Sport and Uniformed Public Services Department. You will combine high-quality teaching with strategic curriculum development, drive teaching, learning and assessment standards, and support staff under the Head of Faculty to raise attainment.

With experience as a Sport Lecturer, Course Leader or Curriculum Coordinator in FE or training, you will shape an engaging, career-focused curriculum and help students

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification required; teaching qualification desirable with support to achieve.
• Experience leading curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team within the Sport and Uniformed Public Services Department.
• Develop an engaging curriculum and maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Balance teaching with staff support and collaboration with the Head of Faculty.

37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 to 4.30pm

Annual Salary £35,500

Are you an experienced Sport lecturer or curriculum professional ready to take the next step into leadership while continuing to inspire students in the classroom?

As our Curriculum Lead in Sport, you will be an enthusiastic and ambitious educator with the confidence to lead a team, develop an engaging curriculum and maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. You will combine high-quality teaching with responsibility for supporting students, managing staff and working closely with the Head of Faculty to drive curriculum development and continuous improvement.

You may currently be working as a Sport Lecturer, Course Leader, Programme Leader or Curriculum Coordinator within further education or a training environment. You will already have experience of teaching or training and may be leading colleagues, coordinating courses or contributing to quality assurance activities. With strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, you will be comfortable supporting staff, addressing challenges and ensuring students receive an excellent learning experience.
