Job summary

Peterborough College is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years educator to deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1 to 4. You will assess learners, set SMART targets, and provide tutorials and support to help students progress into employment or further study.

The role requires a Level 5 teaching qualification, an assessor award, and a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, with a commitment to inclusive, engaging learning and the embedding of English, maths and digital skills throughout delivery.

Inspire the next generation of Early Years professionals and help learners develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a difference in children's lives.

In this busy and exciting role you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of Early Years programmes, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress successfully into employment or higher-level study. You will play a key role in shaping positive learning experiences, ensuring students remain motivated, challenged and supported throughout their journey.

Working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking faculty, you will contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of courses from Level 1 through to Level 4. You will utilise innovative teaching methods, provide meaningful feedback and embed English, maths and digital skills within learning to enhance student achievement.

You will also support curriculum development, quality assurance activities and employer engagement, helping to ensure programmes remain relevant, inspiring and responsive to industry needs. What we're looking for:

You will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Early Years professional with recent industry experience and a passion for developing the next generation of practitioners. You will have a strong understanding of current sector practices and be able to inspire learners through engaging and innovative teaching.

Ideally, you will hold a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification, an assessor award and a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above within Early Years. You will be confident supporting learners with diverse needs, embedding English and maths within delivery and using technology effectively to enhance learning.
