About The Post

The University of Suffolk is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Midwifery to join our School of Health, Sciences and Society.

As a Lecturer in Midwifery, you will play a key role in educating and inspiring the next generation of midwives through high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across our BSc (Hons) Midwifery and BSc (Hons) Midwifery (Shortened) programmes.

You will support students throughout their academic and practice learning as a Personal Academic Coach, Academic Assessor and Link Lecturer, working closely with one of our local NHS maternity providers. Alongside teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development, research and scholarship, and work collaboratively with practice partners to ensure our graduates are equipped to deliver safe, compassionate and evidence‑based care.

About The Team

You will be part of a dynamic and forward‑thinking midwifery team. We are looking to add a motivated midwifery lecturer to our team to work on the implementation of our new curriculum and provide support to our students in preparing them for their ongoing careers in healthcare.

The School of Health, Sciences and Society brings together a broad range of disciplines under one academic school. The School reflects a modern, collaborative approach to education — focused on producing highly skilled, compassionate professionals ready to meet today’s challenges.

The School has state‑of‑the‑art teaching and research spaces in the Health and Wellbeing Building and the iconic James Hehir Building facing the waterfront, with dedicated specialist facilities for each subject.
