Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is recruiting Bank Lecturers in Maths for flexible teaching across our campuses. You will contribute to curriculum delivery, support learners, and help raise achievement. Salary depends on qualification status: Unqualified £21.13/hr or Qualified £25.34/hr plus holiday pay.

Contract Type: Variable Hours. Hours offered as required during term time, with opportunities for longer-term work and development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or higher in Maths or a related subject, or significant relevant experience.
• Genuine commitment to developing learners' confidence and achievement.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent is welcomed.

• Deliver engaging, inclusive Maths teaching across programmes.
• Teach and assess GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.
• Plan engaging lessons for diverse abilities.
• Prepare learners for exams and assessments.

Our client is seeking passionate, adaptable and committed Bank Lecturers in Maths to support our Maths provision across our campuses on an as‑needed basis. As a Bank Lecturer, you will join a pool of teaching staff who can provide both short‑term and longer‑term teaching cover, support curriculum delivery and contribute to the continued development of Maths provision throughout the academic year. Applicants can indicate their preferred campus location: Trowbridge, Lackham, Chippenham or Salisbury. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners and make a genuine difference to their confidence, achievement and progression.

What You'll Bring

• Level 3 qualification or higher in Maths or a related subject, or significant relevant experience
• Strong Maths subject knowledge, including GCSE and/or Functional Skills
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, adaptable and learner‑centred approach
• Ability to create engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Genuine commitment to developing learners' confidence, mathematical skills and achievement
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent is welcomed, as is experience in Further Education, secondary, adult, vocational or community education.
