Job summary

University of Exeter seeks two Lecturer in Law (Education and Research) for a permanent, full-time role from January 2027 at Streatham Campus. The post combines undergraduate teaching across core modules with leading an ambitious, internationally recognised research portfolio.

The role requires delivering high-quality teaching to large cohorts and developing externally funded research collaborations to raise the School’s profile.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Law (or nearing completion) and an independent, internationally-recognised research programme.
  • Proven potential to produce high-quality publications.
  • Ability to attract external research funding.
  • Active approach to interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality undergraduate teaching to large cohorts.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business and community partners.
  • Potential to develop impactful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate modules in Law (e.g., Torts, Land Law, Equity & Trusts, Company Law, etc.).
  • Develop an ambitious programme of internationally recognised research.
  • Publish high-quality work and pursue external funding opportunities.
  • Engage in collaborative partnerships to boost research profile of the School and University.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary teaching and research.
