Job summary

University of Exeter invites applications for Lecturer in Law (Education and Scholarship) based at the Penryn campus in Cornwall. You will teach Criminal Law, Constitutional/ EU & Human Rights, and other law modules, contributing to innovative pedagogies and experiential learning across programmes.

The role requires PhD or equivalent experience, strong teaching, and engagement with external networks to support student opportunities and outreach.

Qualifications

• PhD and/or established experience in legal academia or legal practice.
• Ability to teach and develop law modules and programmes.
• Use a range of delivery techniques to engage students.
• Evidence of excellent teaching from peer review and impact at programme level.
• Commitment to HEA Fellowship and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver excellent teaching as part of a small team.
• Contribute to the delivery of Criminal Law, Constitutional, EU & Human Rights modules and other law modules.
• Develop teaching programmes and pedagogies in legal education.
• Engage with external networks to support student recruitment, placements and outreach.
