The role focuses on teaching Criminal Law and/or Constitutional, EU & Human Rights, with contributions to Contract Law, Torts and Employment Law within a distinctive experiential learning framework. We seek candidates with a PhD or equivalent legal experience, who can engage students with varied teaching methods, develop modules, and

Qualifications

  • PhD and/or established experience in legal academia or legal practice.
  • Able to use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
  • Develop external networks to recruit students, secure placements, facilitate outreach, generate income, or build future activities.
  • Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and impact at programme level beyond your own teaching.
  • Work towards Fellow of the HEA and attend CPD related to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver excellent teaching as part of a small team.
  • Contribute to the development of law modules and teaching programmes.
  • Support student recruitment, placements, and external projects to generate income.
  • Deliver experiential learning through small-group tasks and research projects.
