Qualifications

  • A Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry experience in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or power systems.
  • Knowledge of current electrical engineering practices and technologies.
  • Willingness to support, mentor and develop others in a teaching environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess learners across Electrical Engineering programmes, including theoretical and practical learning activities.
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive sessions across classroom, laboratory, and engineering environments.
  • Support learners to develop knowledge and skills in electrical principles, electronics, automation, control technologies, fault diagnosis, and engineering practices.
  • Embed current industry knowledge, emerging technologies, health and safety, sustainability, and professional standards into learning.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, learner support, and professionalism.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement, progression, and career readiness.

What We Offer

Salary: Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year


Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What You’ll Do


  • Teach and assess learners across Electrical Engineering programmes, including theoretical and practical learning activities

What You’ll Bring


  • A Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  • Relevant industry experience within electrical engineering, electronics, automation, manufacturing, maintenance, power systems, or related engineering sectors

  • Knowledge of current electrical engineering practices, technologies, and industry expectations

  • Experience supporting, mentoring, coaching, or developing others in a professional or technical environment

  • A teaching qualification is welcomed - but if you don't have one yet, we'll support you to achieve it while you work
