Job summary

Bedford College Group in Dunstable is hiring a Lecturer in Graphic Design (Mat Cover) to join the Art & Design team. The role involves preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying a range of courses and levels, supporting students to reach their potential and delivering a high-quality learning experience on campus.

The ideal candidate will have Level 3 qualifications, a willingness to achieve further certificates, and experience teaching diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Level 3 relevant qualification
• Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education or equivalent
• Willingness to achieve Assessor/Verifier qualifications
• English and mathematics or GCSE grade A-C or equivalent (or willingness to achieve Level 2 within one year)
• Experience of teaching and assessing on a range programmes and levels
• Knowledge of current developments in own specialist area
• Experience of working with diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, assess and verify subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
• Support and guide students to achieve success and realise their potential
• Manage students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching
• Participate in marketing and promotion activities to support programmes and learning opportunities
