Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a Lecturer in Games Design for its Performing Arts department. The role focuses on delivering Digital, Media, Games and Computing courses across levels 2–5, with a strong emphasis on engaging teaching and curriculum delivery.

The successful candidate will assess student work, support progression, and contribute to curriculum development, while upholding safeguarding and quality standards in a college setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject and teaching qualification (or willingness).
• GCSE English and Maths and DBS clearance are required.
• Experience with FE quality assurance, data and IT to monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Teach and deliver curricula across levels 2–5 in Digital, Media, Games and Computing.
• Assess and monitor student work, supporting learners to reach potential.
• Develop up-to-date schemes of work and contribute to new courses.
• Promote positive student experience and engagement and assist with recruitment.
• Maintain records, comply with safeguarding, governance and health & safety.
