Job summary

DN Colleges is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lecturer- Electrical Engineering to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, supporting students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or an industry professional looking to move into teaching. You will play a key role in providing an engaging learning experience, helping students achieve their full potential while contributing to the continued success and development of the curriculum area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Engineering.

Essential Criteria
  • Relevant qualifications and/or substantial industry experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge within the Electrical Engineering sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and support learners from a range of backgrounds.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuous professional development.
  • A willingness to work towards and achieve a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.

Additional Information

Teaching Qualifications: Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD). At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
