Job summary

New City College in London is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Electrical Installation to teach and assess learners across Level 1 to Level 3, including 16–18 provision, adult learners and apprenticeships. You will help learners build practical skills, knowledge and confidence from induction through to achievement and progression.

You will plan engaging, learner-centred delivery, assess learners with regular feedback and contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition
• Experience delivering electrical programmes to Level 1–3
• Teaching or training qualification and assessor qualification are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across accredited Electrical qualifications, both in College and, where required, on employers’ premises.
• Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred programmes that develop knowledge and vocational skills for successful achievement.
• Assess learners and apprentices throughout their programme, providing regular feedback, guidance and tutorial support.
• Develop schemes of work, assessment plans, learning outcomes and individual learning plans.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate course, assessment and training records.
• Work closely with employers, awarding bodies and colleagues to support the delivery and development of Electrical qualifications.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement within the provision.

Who You Are:

Youwill be a qualified Electrician with the 18th Edition qualification and haverelevant experience working within the Electrical industry. You will bringpractical industry knowledge, strong organisational and communication skills,and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A relevant teaching ortraining qualification and an assessor qualification are advantageous,alongside experience of developing assessment plans and schemes of work.
