Job summary

CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver theory and practical training within a further education setting on a long-term contract. You will monitor learner progress, promote an inclusive environment, and support learners toward employment or further study.

The role requires proven teaching experience, relevant electrical qualifications, and up-to-date safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Proven teaching experience in Electrical Installation or related FE setting.
• Relevant Electrical Installation qualifications held.
• Enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult Workforce; Update Service is preferred.
• Willing to undergo DBS check before starting.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training.
• Up-to-date KCSIE training.
• Up-to-date Prevent/ Radicalisation training.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and helping learners succeed.
• Sound understanding of health and safety in electrical/practical environments.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to join a further education setting on a long-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching professional with a strong background in electrical installations who is passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations theory and practical training and support the development of next generation of electrical professionals.

• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Support learners in developing their technical and practical abilities.
• Ensure all teaching and practical activities are delivered in line with relevant health and safety requirements.
• Work with colleagues to support learner achievement and in line with relevant requirements
• Support learners with progression into employment, aprenticeships and futher study.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven teaching experience, ideally within Electrical Installation or a related Further Education setting.
• Relevant Electrical Installation qualifications.
• A clear Enhanced DBS covering both the Child and Adult Workforce.registered on the Update Service.
• Candidates who do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate must be willing to undergo the required DBS check prior to starting the role
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training.
• Up-to-date Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) training.
• Up-to-date Prevent / Preventing Radicalisation training.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting learners to succeed.
• A good understanding of health and safety within an electrical/practical environment.

A relevant teaching qualification would be advantageous, alongside your electrical qualifications and experience
