Job summary

Bath College in Radstock, England, seeks a Lecturer/Assessor in Electrical to deliver high-quality teaching and on-site assessments for apprenticeships. Qualifications

  • Level 2 English and Maths at Grade B or above.
  • A nationally recognised qualification, at least to level 3, in an Electrical discipline.
  • 18th Edition, 2nd Amendment qualification.
  • TAQA Assessor Award (or willing to work towards).
  • Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes.
  • Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
  • Plan and deliver specialist sessions embedding diversity within the electrical industry.
  • Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments.
  • Support the department's success and vision.

Description

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Unqualified Lecturer Salary (P25-P27 GBP 30,348.15 - GBP 32,186.70)

Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 GBP 32,186.70 - GBP 40,015.50)

Key Purpose - To work with the Apprenticeship Team Leader and Head of Apprenticeships to deliver a high-quality Electrical provision including classroom/workshop theory and practical teaching. This role will include onsite (employer based) assessments and reviews of apprentices, that meets with Bath College quality expectations. Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with examination requirements. To deliver L3 Electrical work programmes using appropriate teaching methods.
  • Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • Plan and deliver specialist sessions in acting using appropriate teaching methods whilst embedding the promotion of diversity within the electrical industry and the College.
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning carried out by the course team.
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.
