Job summary

Dorset Council is investing in and strengthening the service for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children and care-experienced young people. An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a Personal Advisor role in the team, with 37 hours per week for a secondment period of 1 year.

PAs will support young people aged 16–25 going through the asylum process and deliver the statutory responsibilities through the Leaving Care Act 2000.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing high-quality services to children, young people and families or others with multiple vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the full range of statutory responsibilities through the Leaving Care Act 2000.
• Provide young people with advice and guidance.
• Work collaboratively with partners to identify and meet individual needs and participate in pathway planning.
