Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Personal Advisor to support care-experienced young people and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Young People as they move toward independence. You will build trusting relationships, provide practical support, guidance and advocacy, and help them navigate Pathway Plans.

You will manage a varied caseload, attend multi-agency meetings, and work with families, carers and partner organisations to secure positive outcomes across education, housing, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally care experienced.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Strong understanding of challenges young people face when moving into adulthood.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with young people and provide practical support, guidance and advocacy.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and review of Pathway Plans.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and work with families, carers and partner organisations.
• Manage a varied caseload and support access to education, housing, health and employment.
• Work across community, home and office settings in a hybrid model.
