Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Leaving Care Personal Advisor to work with our client on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours 08:45 - 17:00 and occasional flexibility to meet service needs.

The role involves supporting Children Looked After and Care Leavers aged 16 to 25 with health, education, employment and training, independence skills, housing and finances, and helping them complete their pathway

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification relating to the Health and Social Care field
• Previous experience in working with Children Looked After and Care Leavers
• Understanding of the challenges young people may face when transitioning to adulthood
• Previous experience in supporting young people to develop independence skills and access appropriate services
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including occasional out-of-hours support

Overview

The role of the Personal Advisor is to support Children Looked After and Care Leavers in their transition to adulthood.
