Job summary

Scottish Leather Group is seeking a Dyehouse Operator to manage chemical preparation and dye vessel processing to ensure leather meets specifications. You’ll work with the team to maintain quality, safety, and accuracy across shifts.

The role emphasizes following SOPs, carefully recording data, and supporting continuous improvement in a busy production environment. Training will be provided; prior manufacturing experience is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail with focus on consistent, high-quality outputs.
• Ability to follow process sheets and SOPs accurately.
• Effective communicator, confident raising concerns with supervisors.
• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
• Previous manufacturing experience desirable but not essential (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Prepare chemicals safely for dye batches and operate dye vessels.
• Record weights and production data for traceability.
• Inspect hides and report quality concerns.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Support production targets and teamwork.
