Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Specialist - Literacy & Numeracy to assist learners with SEND across further education settings in Greater Manchester. Based at Trafford College, the role involves targeted interventions and practical support to help learners overcome barriers and progress toward EHCP outcomes.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Level 3 qualification in Education or related field.
• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Experience supporting learners within FE settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support in English, maths, literacy, and numeracy.
• Deliver targeted interventions to improve reading, writing, spelling, communication, and mathematical understanding.
• Support learners in developing Functional Skills and everyday numeracy.
• Adapt learning materials and support strategies to meet individual learner needs.
• Support learners with SEND including dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and related needs.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Help learners develop confidence, independence, study, and employability skills.
• Support learners toward EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
• Promote inclusive learning and positive learner engagement.
• Collaborate with lecturers, SEND teams and other support staff.
