Job summary

St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School in Burgess Hill is seeking a Learning Support Assistant with responsibilities for EHCP pupils and pupils with medical needs. The role includes some whole-class support and playground supervision at break and lunchtimes, within an inclusive ethos.

The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team, with willingness to run interventions and support SEND pupils.

Qualifications

• Has experience of working with children.
• Passionate about enabling all children to achieve.
• Clear idea of strategies to encourage behaviour choices.
• Able to work with children of all abilities.
• Willing to run interventions and attend to pupils' personal needs.
• Willing to engage with outside agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support EHCP pupils with learning and medical needs in the classroom.
• Provide playground supervision at break and lunchtimes.
• Contribute to inclusive education and pupil welfare.
• Deliver interventions as needed and follow guidance from external agencies.
